Integrative Psychotherapist (MBACP, MSc)
Why daya?
Daya (ਦਇਆ) means compassion.
The name is inspired by the Sikh ethos, where compassion is a guiding value in how we live, understand ourselves and respond to the world. It reflects the care and understanding I hope you’ll experience in our work together.
To me, compassion means taking time to understand your experiences without judgement, making room for what feels difficult and meeting you where you are. You don’t need to have everything figured out or find the perfect words.
This is the foundation of Daya Therapy — a space where you can feel heard, explore what matters to you and begin to meet yourself with greater understanding and kindness.
There is room here for every part of who you are.
The experience I bring.
My experience brings together psychotherapy, mental health support and community advocacy, including work with marginalised communities and supporting survivors within the domestic abuse and human trafficking sectors. I’ve also contributed to community projects with young people in Panjab, India.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of how exclusion, feeling unheard and barriers to support can affect someone’s life. They have shaped my commitment to therapy where your experiences are taken seriously, your strengths are recognised and your choices are respected. I take time to understand what has shaped you, without reducing your story to a difficulty or diagnosis.
I work with adults and young people aged 16+, bringing warmth, empathy and curiosity. You don’t need to make your experiences sound a certain way or know what you want to change before we begin. We can explore this together, at your pace, with room for you to tell me what feels helpful and what needs to be different.
Your voice is at the heart of our work together.
