Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This notice explains how Daya Therapy handles information collected through website enquiries. I’m Charanjeet Kaur, trading as Daya Therapy, and I am responsible for your personal information. You can contact me about privacy through the Contact page.
What I collect and why
When you enquire, I collect your name, email address and message to respond, answer questions and arrange a consultation where requested.
Please keep your message brief and avoid including detailed health information or other sensitive personal information.
For enquiries about starting therapy, my lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For other correspondence, I rely on my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and managing my practice.
Your enquiry details are not used for marketing.
How information is handled
My website and enquiry form are provided by Squarespace, and my business email is provided by Microsoft 365. These providers process information to deliver their services.
Squarespace may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Its published transfer arrangements include the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and contractual safeguards where applicable. Further information is available in Squarespace’s Data Processing Addendum.
I treat enquiries confidentially. Information may be shared with relevant authorities or emergency services where necessary and lawful to meet a legal requirement or address a serious safeguarding concern.
How long I keep enquiries
If an enquiry does not lead to therapy, I retain it for up to six months after our last contact, then delete it securely, unless a complaint or legal requirement makes longer retention necessary.
If we begin therapy
This notice covers website enquiries only. Before therapy begins, I’ll provide a separate therapy agreement covering our contract, confidentiality and its limits, alongside information about how your therapy records are handled.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of its use or a portable copy.
You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To make a request or raise a concern, contact me through the Contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Updates
I will review this notice and update it when relevant arrangements change.
